Polymeric eye-bath for washing and vacuum massage of eyes WG-01 “MION”

Made in accordance with TU 9464-001-44925070-2001 from ecologically clean plastic and recommended for use in medical practice by a committee of new medical technology MZ RF (report 4 from 14 June 2001 ).

Sphere of application

•  Washing the eyes during treatment: glaucoma, different kinds of keratitis, chronic granulomatous uveitis, conjunctivitis, suppurative process of cornea.

•  Washing the eyes of people, who work in dusty conditions, near welding work, in hot shops or on the open sea.

•  Prophylactic washing of very fatigued eyes.

•  Vacuum massage in order to improve the hemodynamics of eyes.

Order of disinfection

1. In domestic conditions disinfect the eye-bath with gauze of a coarse calico napkin moistened in a 3% hydrogen dioxide solution or in a 1% chloramines solution by wiping twice with 15 minutes intervals.

2. In conditions of patient care institutions following preliminary sterilizing wash, disinfect the eye-bath in a 6% hydrogen dioxide solution at a temperature of no less 18? C for 6 hours, then wash in sterile water.

Eye washing procedure

Fill the eye-bath with eye washing solution to the level of the upper line (picture 1). The eye-bath capacity is 20 ml.

Take the eye-bath in your hand, squeezing it between your thumb and middle finger, leaving the forefinger free to press on the bottom of the bath (picture 2).

Press the eye-bath to the eyelid of opened eye in order to immerse the eyelids in the solution.

In order to carry out the procedure more effectively lightly press on the bottom of the eye-bath with your forefinger raising the level of the solution (picture 3).

Vacuum massage procedure

Eye vacuum massage procedure may carry out only by prescription and under observation of the attending doctor.

To carry out vacuum massage of eyes, press the empty eye-bath to the eyelids of a closed eye, periodically pressing the bottom of eye-bath with your finger for 1-3 minutes.

3. Don't squeeze the eye-bath walls to create the vacuum.

4. The massage intensity is regulated by the patients' sensations.

The massage should not cause pain or discomfort.

Storage conditions

After finishing of the procedure wash the eye-bath in running water, using a cleaning solution like “Lotos”, rub dry, then place in the box or package.

Store in a dry place, protected from the sunlight, far from hot sources.

If storing in conditions with a temperature below 10?C before carrying out the procedures allow the eye-bath to sit at room temperature for 2 hours or place in 40-50? C water for 20 minutes.

The eye-bath is good for 5 years from the production date, indicated on the packing.
